The full version of Acrobat Professional without educational pricing is steep, so this was a decent price to pay.Same features as Standard and you also get: I'm stuck on Adobe CS 5, as the new versions are all cloud-based with a yearly fee (just as Microsoft Office 365 has a yearly fee). I like to possess the software I use and won't use the cloud for that reaso n. Now, it is all 'cloud' based and if you lose your internet connection, you're screwed. So, Acrobat Professional for around $125.00 and having the actual software, with a one-time purchase is good. If you don't qualify, you don't receive a serial number and the software is worthless to you. That comes from the Adobe site and you have to submit proof that you qualify for educational pricing.

That is the caveat on this item: you receive the software, but not a serial number. Luckily, I qualify for educational pricing and serial numbers and was able to purchase and use this software.

I'm not sure where the pricing model for Adobe products originates, but they'd probably sell a lot more stuff if it weren't so expensive.
